A Chinese mining company is planning to demolish a 5,000-year-old archaeological site in Afghanistan called Mes Aynak in order to unearth $100 billion dollars worth of copper buried beneath the ruins. Follow Afghan archaeologist Qadir Temori as he battles Chinese miners, the Taliban, local politics and time to save the site from imminent destruction.

Beth Mosher
Beth Mosher is an Associate Professor of Industrial Design at RISD, where she teaches design research, future
strategy, coding and experience design. Leveraging her background in anthropology and industrial design, Beth blends scientific processes and design methodologies to probe the relationship between objects and society, mining our cultural past for insights into possibilities for our collective future. She has worked at Smart Design, frog and Nike and now works for clients on a broad range of projects from food to surgical devices. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and has been featured in Adbusters, Azure, Ottagono, Core 77 and Wired Magazine.
